Getting a yard sign printed
Download the 18 × 24 PDF and order it from a local print shop or an online sign printer. What to ask for:
- 18 × 24 in, corrugated plastic (“coroplast”), 4 mm.
- Single-sided, or double-sided with the same file on both sides so it reads from both directions.
- An H-stake (wire step stake) to push it into the lawn.
18 × 24 in, 1/8 in bleed
Where to put it
On your own property, facing the traffic: by the entrance to the parking lot, at the edge of the lawn, or at a job site.
Many cities restrict signs in the public right of way (the strip by the curb and the median). Check your local rules before putting one up off your property.
Keep the words few
At driving speed people catch about five words. The yard layout drops the small print and keeps the headline, one job or “All positions”, the pay and the phone number, all large.
- Use “___ wanted” for one role: “Drivers wanted”.
- Pay as one number reads faster than a range.
- A phone number people can remember beats a QR code from a car.
Four things, all large

Questions
What size is a standard yard sign?
18 × 24 inches, landscape or portrait. Ours is portrait, 18 wide by 24 tall, with a 1/8 inch bleed on every side for the print shop.
Do you print the yard sign?
No. We make the print-ready file; any print shop can print it on corrugated plastic, usually the same or the next day.
Is the yard sign file included in the free download?
No, the free download is the letter-size PNG. The yard sign is in the $12 pack, with the banners, poster, window and letter sizes in English and Spanish.
Can I print it double-sided?
Yes. Ask the print shop to use the same PDF for both sides, so it reads from both directions of traffic.
